A: Our lead times vary by season. In the winter (Jan–Feb), turnaround is typically fast. During the Spring Rush (March–May), wait times can extend. We strongly recommend scheduling annual service and de-winterization in January or February to avoid delays.
A: Yes, we are a factory-authorized service center for Volvo Penta, as well as Indmar, Mercury Marine (Mercruiser), PCM, Yamaha OutBoards, Mercury Outboards, Yamaha Waveruners, and Suzuki Outboards. We also have the proprietary diagnostic software (VODIA) required to properly service modern marine engines.

 Our Sales and Service departments operate on a consistent schedule to serve you:

• Tuesday through Saturday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
 
• Sunday & Monday: Closed. We encourage customers to schedule service appointments or showroom visits during these hours. Please note that our location on Lake LBJ often experiences high volume on Saturdays, so booking in advance is recommended for personalized consultations.

Yes, Bay Marine & Sports Center provides extensive mobile and on-water service for customers located on Lake LBJ. We understand the logistical challenge of hauling a boat for service, so our specialized mobile technicians come directly to your dock or marina. We can perform a majority of routine maintenance, diagnostics, and minor repairs on-site. This service covers the entire immediate Lake LBJ area, including Horseshoe Bay, Sunrise Beach, and Kingsland. For major repairs requiring a lift or extensive disassembly, we can assist with logistics to get your vessel to our service center.

While Texas winters are milder than in the north, hard freezes do occur and can cause catastrophic damage to engine blocks and manifolds. We strongly recommend winterization to protect your investment. Our comprehensive winterization service includes:
     
• Cooling System: Drain all raw water.
        
• Fuel System: Adding high-quality fuel stabilizers to prevent phase separation and gumming during storage.
             
• Battery Care: Inspecting and disconnecting batteries to prevent drain.
            
• Ballast Systems: Completely draining and protecting ballast tanks in surf boats to prevent pump damage. Protecting your boat now ensures it is ready to run the moment the weather warms up.

• Valet Storage: Our premier service where we store your boat in our secure facility and launch it for you upon request. When you're done, we retrieve it, and store it back away—a true "concierge" experience.
         
• Boat Trailer Storage: Secure, accessible storage for your trailer while your boat is in a slip or at your dock. Our facility is located right on the water, ensuring you spend your time boating, not towing.  
Boating safety is a priority on Lake LBJ, and Texas state laws are strictly enforced.

• Boater Education: Anyone born on or after September 1, 1993, must complete a generic Boater Education Course to operate a motorboat over 15 horsepower or a Personal Watercraft (PWC).

• PWC Operation: To operate a PWC (like a Yamaha Waverunner) alone, you must be at least 13 years old and have completed the required education course.

• Adult Supervision: Children under 13 generally cannot operate a motorboat unless accompanied by an exempt adult who is 18 years or older. We recommend all boaters, regardless of age, take a safety course to understand the "rules of the road" for passing and right-of-way.  
If you experience a breakdown on the water, there are reliable towing services available. Flagship Towing operates on Lake LBJ and provides 24/7 assistance for towing, battery jumps, fuel drops, and un-groundings. They can be reached at 1-888-BOAT-TOW or via their local dispatch. For mechanical issues, once you are towed to your dock or a ramp, Bay Marine’s mobile service team can take over to diagnose and repair the problem.  
Yes, we actively accept trade-ins and strive to offer fair, competitive market values. Our valuation process involves a physical inspection of your vessel to assess its condition, engine hours, and features, combined with current market data. Trading in your boat at Bay Marine offers significant advantages: it eliminates the hassle of marketing and showing the boat yourself, and in many cases, offers tax advantages on your new purchase.  Yes, we offer a professional consignment service designed to get you the maximum value for your vessel without the stress of a private sale. When you consign with us, we handle the marketing, listing, showings, and demos. We also manage the paperwork and financing for the buyer, which opens up the pool of potential purchasers significantly. Our team ensures your boat is presented in the best light to our extensive database of buyers.  
To ensure a smooth and quick closing process, we recommend bringing the following documents:
      
• Identification: A valid driver’s license or government ID.
           
• Proof of Income: Recent pay stubs or tax returns (depending on the lender's requirements).
       
• Trade-In Documents: If applicable, please bring the original Title and Registration for your boat and trailer. If there is a lien on your trade-in, bring your current payoff information. Having these items ready allows our finance team to secure your approval and complete the state titling and registration paperwork efficiently.
